Gavin
Bell's pottery studio is in Cajarc in the Lot, France.
Here he creates tableware and objects of decoration in stoneware.
Gavin was a teacher in South Africa where he taught prospective teachers to
teach art to children. He has a BA (Fine Arts) from the University of the
Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He worked as a full time potter at the famous
Old Nick Pottery in Plettenberg Bay for several years, before moving to the
Lot in South West France.
After six years, Gavin is now a well established potter in his chosen 'corner
of France', becoming well-known in the area.
