Couzou cottage, near Rocamadour (6km), which is on one of the old pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostella, sleeps 3.
Whilst tiny, the gite boasts two bedrooms (a double and single) which share a bathroom with bath, WC, washbasin and shower. The cottage is thoroughly modernised and very comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, with gas stove, microwave and large fridge/freezer. The living room is equipped with lots of books and guides to the Lot, together with a CD player and some CD's
The south facing balcony looks out onto the flower-filled church square and the cottage has a separate garden with a picnic area, about 150m away. A table and chairs outside the gite means you can drink and eat 'al fresco'.
The
bustling market town of Gramat is just 10km and the river Dordogne with its
superb swimming, fishing and canoeing facilities just 15Km. The Couzou gite
makes an ideal self-catering base from which to explore the beautiful Lot
countryside and it's many
historic attractions.
